I've been painting, since I was 6 years old - and very early in my life painting became an obsession for me. In my school years I painted myself away from boring lessons into my own world of violent monsters, shining heroes and giant space ships. Unfortunately all of these "early works" are lost. What isn't lost is my love to give the fantasy a shape and to create whole new worlds. During a longer period my favourite artists were Otto Dix and other new realism artists. An important picture, which I made in this period, is "Ich, Heiko Achilles", a self-portrait, which I made in '89.
